Each commission is a one-of-a-kind artwork. No edition. No reproduction. No other RAGAZZI quite like it.
MADE FOR ONE
A commissioned RAGAZZI isn't a portrait of someone who already exists.
It's an opportunity to create a character that is entirely its own.
You might have a particular person, place, story or feeling in mind. Or you might simply want to see what emerges.
We'll establish the parameters together – scale, colour, character, atmosphere and where the work will live.
From there, the RAGAZZI is mine to create.
You influence the parameters.
I create the RAGAZZI.
THE PROCESS
01 — THE BRIEF
We start with a conversation.
Tell me what you're drawn to, what you're looking for, where the work will live and anything you'd like the piece to explore.
There are no strict formulas. Some commissions begin with a very clear idea. Others begin with almost nothing.
The brief gives us a starting point.
02 — THE MAKING
The work is created using the same fragment-based process behind the RAGAZZI collection.
Images, textures, colours and references are cut, rearranged, layered and rebuilt.
But unlike an existing RAGAZZI, this character has no predetermined identity.
It develops through the process.
I don't start with a person and try to capture them.
I start with fragments and see who appears.
03 — THE REVEAL
When the work is finished, your RAGAZZI is signed, documented and yours alone.
The finished artwork is a unique original, created specifically through the commission.
A character that exists nowhere else.

Commissioning a RAGAZZI isn't about choosing from a catalogue. It's about creating something that couldn't have existed any other way. A character with its own presence, attitude and story; made specifically for you.
I accept a limited number of commissions each year to allow each work the time and attention it deserves.
